Good Looking Friends Release Album Pre-Order + New Single

The latest release from We’re Trying comes from Brooklyn’s Good Looking Friends with their new track “Bravery”!

What starts with sounds of birds chirping and ambitions of becoming something great for the speakers, slowly turns into being locked up after a bad physical altercation. “The two people in the song reflect on the circumstances which continually lead them to isolation, disaffection, and loneliness,” described GLF’s vocalist Zach Fischer.

“The verses are energetic and loud which take the listener through the explosive memory of violent altercation, and quiet, reflective choruses present observational exploration of penance and regret, culminating in the vowed reclamation of their own agency. It’s something we’re really proud of and hope it strikes a chord with the listener.”

The instruments and themes follow the emotional progression of the song and set up instrument and melodic themes for the remaining tracks off of the band’s second LP, The Light of the Well; a story about finding agency and community in the sewers of a suicidal technocracy.
