Midwest's Best and Good Vibes Under One Roof; House Fest II Announced
It might be cold outside, but our hearts are warm as we're excited to announce House Fest II on March 16 & 17 at Lucy's Pub.
Last year, we saw the inaugural House Fest successfully combine grassroots networking and philanthropy to bring 30 national, regional, and local artists together, and raise $1,275 for Planned Parenthood. "We want to keep the focus on DIY centric approaches, curating a safe all-ages environment, grass roots networking, and benefit contribution," said Lucy's Pub curator David McInnis. "But we want to make it bigger this year, so we're adding an outdoor stage and working with local businesses to create an even better experience."
Strengthening the relations between fans and artists within Nebraska and beyond to create a more fertile Midwest music community is still the main purpose behind House Fest II. "Last year, it just felt like everyone in the house was connecting, and the vibes were good and cohesive," said We're Trying Records' managing director Jordan Hiebner. "It's cool to see so many people looking forward to House Fest already, and we're excited to bring some new out of state acts to the Omaha scene that we all love."
The lineup for House Fest II will be announced after the new year, but all those who are interested can RSVP here.
