Pizza Will Never Look the Same After The Great American Novel’s New Single

GAN 1.jpg

The name The Great American Novel will be familiar to anyone who’s ever attended a basement show where the crowd arrives before the backline and the sets begin after midnight. Frontman Layne Montgomery’s dependably rag-tag band of Bandcamp mainstays has gone away and come back more times than your ex has unfollowed and re-followed you on Instagram. But this time, they might be back for good.

The band’s first single from their upcoming album – Extremely Loud and Incredibly Online – “Grabbing a Slice” is an infectious, formidable entry in the “ex anthem” canon, complete with singing synths, and a deeply unhinged video directed by and starring Josh Flitter.
