Twin Beds' ‘Big Sky’ is Finally Here

After months of anticipation, Twin Beds have finally released their second album Big Sky. This record is about so many things. Love, fun, friendship, anxiety, pain – but to the band, these 11 songs coalesce under one singular theme: dreams. The dreams you yearn to make reality, the dreams that don’t come true, and the dreams you find yourself in when you close your eyes at night. These dreams paint visions of success, excitement, or pain – with the people we’ve met and the people we’ve lost weaving their way into our subconscious as well. They inform who we want to be, how we perceive ourselves, and what we want to achieve.

In many ways this album starts out as pessimistic – lamenting certain situations as if they are unfixable and permanent – but a glimmer of hope bubbles underneath the surface until it reveals a warm glow that illuminates a promising future.

This record is full of lessons that have been learned and realizations that strengthen one’s sense of self. These themes are spread out across songs that often take the form of catchy and riffy punk tunes, but ones that take no issue with stripping things away for a moment and offering genuine emotional catharsis.

You can laugh at this album and you can cry at this album. The goal was to make you do both and more.
