Each rock/emo collective brings a different spin to the split by offering up one heart wrenching track a piece. Peach's Taylar Stauss described their contribution – "Nobody Understands Quantum Mechanics" – as "trying to find comfort and your place in a relationship, but being too afraid to vocalize it".

While on DIVE's "Inside Out" tries to help the listener wrap their heads around substance abuse, friends and family who have changed drastically, and losing someone close to you.

"We're just incredibly happy to be a part of an effort among people scattered about the midwest that celebrates the importance of community in music," Joyd Parker's Alex Couts commented on the split. "We're very proud of the music, and without friends, hard work, and dedication of others, this release would not be possible."
