Kick Rocks to Old News’ Latest Single

There’s nothing poetic about the Old News’ first single from their upcoming LP Self-Acceptance Speech. Some may even describe “Heads Like Projectors” as a “jaded, cynical, kicking rocks” kinda track.

“When we began sketching out “Heads Like Projectors,” I was grappling with some difficult transitions – moving to a new city, navigating a twenty-something identity crisis – while the band was going through a lot of similar changes” said Beau. “We wanted to package all our angst and petulance into something explosive and self-indulgent, wash our hands of it, and move onto more introspective themes for the rest of the album.”

Lyrics throughout the track describe the immense amount of emotional baggage we all carry, and Old News used their project as a way to put some of it away.
