Deemed as "high-minded and densely layered" (Exclaim!), Good Looking Friends released their sophomore album The Light of the Well!

The record as a whole, champion's the individual over their struggle with the mass all while set to aspiring, classical arrangements. "It's a celebration of human collective achievement and a defamation of consumerism," vocalist/guitarist Zachary Fischer said. "It's love for innovation and condemnation of advertising. It's a plan for a platform and a plea to get off facebook."

Mixed by Chris Teti – The World is a Beautiful Place & I Am Not Longer Afraid to Die – listeners can hear the sounds of New York throughout the album. "I've tried to capture the music of the movement, the sounds of the city, in these songs," said Fischer.

"From ambulances & klaxons to quiet conversation & rare silences. The sea against the concrete pier, the mass against the individual. Hopefully some of those sounds come through."
